I think it means there are more long targets then short targets and if the algorithm goes for long targets it will gravitate towards the blue line to do that. Current action on SPY agrees?

Hope you dont mind me hijacking your question. I am trying to learn as well.. this chart seems pretty accurate in short time frames

Edit: what I still don't grasp yet is the meaning of the yellow, red, green algo line modes and that empty red space
