Why sell shares for $1 or less, CUT sh's LEGS out from UNDER them?

What's his letter say to SH's who bought this @ $10-$12 ? And if he THOUGHT his OWN COMPANY was so great WHY DIDN'T he raise FUNDS @ $10-$12 versus sweetheart MILLIONS of SHARES sub-$1.00/share?
