"Skyworks Solutions is the name which has been given to the wireless semiconductor company which is being spun-off from the merger of Alpha Industries and Conexant Systems. The new company will have more than 4k workers and will focus on RF devices for use in mobile communications applications. David Aldrich, current CEO of Alpha, will become CEO of Skyworks once the merger is completed, expected to be by end-June 2002."
