Well, I feel OK about their buying the property, as long as they don't get "took" and pay too much for it. Whether the country club could be brought back to life is subject to question, but there is no doubt that the property would provide a location to build some nice homes. They could keep the golf course as is (very nice), build the homes and sell them, and refurbish the clubhouse, restaurant, bar, etc. I can see it working out. But they'll have to buy it right, which in Pine Bluff these days is dirt cheap. And I mean cheap. I just refurbished a house here for some people who bought it and the lot under it for $7200. The good news is that after my $3000 bill, they sold it for $15K. The town is covered up with abandoned properties, burned-out shells, boarded up crap. Just like New Orleans. A bottom-fisher's paradise.

A good bottom's hard to beat.
