Looks like the New Guinea government did a similar thing to Barrick Gold.

Back in April the  government of Papua New Guinea has announced that it will not renew Barrick Niugini Limited’s 20-year Special Mining Lease for the Porgera gold mine. https://www.barrick.com/operations/porgera/default.aspx
