On the August 16th 2019 released software.
When you have a good management team for software engineering they make a project plan that has dates of when the software releases will be released. This gives accountability for these dates.
This drives the software engineers to get the software done on that date.
That is where the August 16th 2019 date comes from and in this case it was on schedule to be released on August 16th 2019.
There is nobody left there that was working or knew anything about the product because, the new management team let all of them go.

This is why I keep asking for dates on when it is going to be released. With the new management team we have heard no plan with hard dates. In my experience if you do not have hard dates you will never get it released because of no sense urgency. There is no accountability for anyone. They take the attitude we will get it done when we get it done.
If they have dates the new management team would be accountable to the board and shareholders for those dates. The engineers would be accountable to the management team for those dates.
If there is no accountability there will be no software released. Every company I have worked for makes plan with dates.
