The problem with the current operators is that they are focusing on the wrong niche (CBD), when they should be looking at all of the potential from the plant. The hemp plant is very fibrous, which makes it valuable in textiles, as well as other industrial applications.
Hemp seed itself is a very nutritious grain that has all of the essential amino acids needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which is why it is already being labeled a superfood. The seed also contains fatty acids as well, which makes for a creamier consistency when blended into a shake/sauce of some sort.
As for CBD itself, there are already existing strains from the MJ companies with CBD only. Tikkun Olum has a high CBD only strain. So for the Hemp companies to chase what the MJ companies already had is just foolishness, and there needs to be a refocus in the industry going forward.
AS for Medical MJ, they will be around for a long, long, long time, for many reasons. The primary reason being that it is thorughly tested, and therefore more proven that hemp for medical purposes. And there are plenty more reasons besides that...
