The mall, usually bustling with people, is like a ghost town with solitary shoppers wandering past empty stores. The eerie quiet is echoed in Sydney's northern beaches in the usually crammed Westfield Warringah Mall

Chadstone's managers cancelled a quarterly meeting this week after 150 distressed tenants decided to attend, another retailer, who didn't want to be named, said. At the last quarterly meeting before the virus outbreak hit, just eight showed up. Vicinity said it cancelled because of safety reasons.
