In this “serosurvey,” researchers will collect and analyze blood samples from as many as 10,000 volunteers to provide critical data for epidemiological models.



I will assume this is a preliminary study but will 10,000 people screened be enough? I mean you will want to screen in areas with high infectivity and moderate infectivity to start. This will have to be areas where the infection appears to be contained (Washington and California), is leveling off (NY and NJ) and is growing (LA, FLA, Mich). Maybe some one who is well versed in statistics can weigh in.
