The point I am trying to make is not a technical one. To me it is a question of stealth.

Does anybody have the right to alter my system - actually property - without explicitly prompting me for acceptance?

Technically I have the possibility to disable cookies on my system if I want to. But I believe that the example of spyware does not fall into this category. In order to keep my system clean and preventing it from performing slowly I am forced to buy programs like Adaware/Adwatch which cost real money.

All in all, the question is who's got control over the client: By default the owner does not in this case!

It all boils down to "rights"... and "who" has "which" rights...

The TCG has absolutely taken the correct position by clearly stating that the owner must always have control...
