Here's a true story.
True because I lived it.

When I was young I could stand freezing temperatures of 0 Fahrenheit (or -18°C) ... in just a shirt or a thin gown ... and walking in this freezing for about a mile now and then, every day, and rarely if ever got sick from this. I was truly cold proof, very hot blooded.

(amazingly while suffering from summer heat, I was stronger than others around to withstand Nevada-like scorching heat, but that's another story, this is about cold)

About 10 years ago I started to have colds, and flu. Flu vaccine helped in the beginning years, but just a little and then totally useless. In itself was kinda weird getting cold, and ...suffering from cold.
ME ???, suffering from mild cold temperatures, not even freezing, and getting colds? WTH
But what was even weirder and outright serious, was that even a normal cold which should last few days, was lasting 6 months plus for me, all the way towards the END of the summer..
And wasn't just cold for 6 months, but serious aggravated pain and suffering, max 2 hours sleep, food problems, on and on, MISERY for half year. Once I even fainted (but I was trying a medical puffer)

I became angry and tried lots of things and search for opinions and information. One information came from someone (medical) that my immune system is weak, thus causing all this.

Went back to search. I found 2 camps. One was swearing for Vit C, the other was swearing for Vit D.
(I didn't see a "together" camp)

I was sick if I remember, so I decided I'm not gonna decide who's right, and I will take both. I went and searched for side-effects of C and D to see if I add some other problem to mine. It seemed fine.
So I proceeded. I took the tastiest Vitamins I found (no need to take something repulsive).
I took daily, religiously, in sickness and health ... like a marriage ..

I didn't expect what followed. I was expecting merely an improvement, some help.
The results were spectacular. I could not believe. I was over excited and overjoyed.

I reverted back to my young self. AMAZING
I could walk in any cold and feel like it is warm.
In regard to colds, my original reason for pursuing this, I almost could NOT get a cold, no matter what, and if I did it will last hours, or ONE day (most few days like 3, but these were RARE circumstances).
Flu the same, I won't catch it from colleagues or customers, or family, and would last max 2-3 days MOST.
My colleagues were so jealous on my condition, them with colds and Flu and me nothing (while they were mostly indoors and me outside mostly, in cold and wet, wet head too, in winter..) that were intentionally coughing and sneezing near me to give it to me, and if that didn't work will just come to my face and do it (the scum in humans, if there, sometimes can't be subdued anymore).
But I would get healthy in ONE or two days, while having MILD symptoms, and they still sick and in misery.
Of course, since that evil acts didn't work too well, they kinda gave up.

I'm working with better people now.
But the Vitamin story and effects are the same.

My family ridicule and scoff at my method, but now with corona some of them fell in line..

I take 1000 units each C and D, on empty stomach so to absorb all, usually in the morning when I feel empty (hungry-ish).
I only eat or drink anything after 30min later.

In the summer time I take less religiously because the abundance of fruits and sunlight, but I do take now and then either 500 units or 1000, but only now and then.

I had a confirmation from a very strong guy (old too) that follows this. Without me telling him anything, he told me nothing touches him, and he comes in contact with all kind of people, all kind of health hazards. He said he takes daily, 3000 units C, and 6000 units D, no matter the season.

All the power to him, he looks like a bull, but I am happy with my dosage.

Few other details:
If and when I feel a bit off (sick feel), I increase temporarily my intake to 2x to 4x per day for the period. (part of this is also maybe because of the story of the strong man aforementioned)

I do eat meat. But not much anymore, and if I feel sick a little, I go veggies , raw only, and keep any and all milk products out of my diet. In my studies it was shown that milk amplifies misery of sickness (and cold and flu particularly), and increase mucus, so cough etc, so it's out.

So bread (vegy) and raw (only) vegetables.

I usually have a ... FULL BAG of my vitamins, and that is always, in normal times. I look for sales and stock.
But I couldn't foresee that the capitalistic economy is just as horrible as a socialistic one when it comes to a test. The shelves are empty. So now everyone is using whatever I have, so my pile looks like nothing.
I went and bought whatever I could find so to have SOMETHING.

It's been a long read, but it's weekend, and we are all worried and look for guidance and help, and I hope you and others enjoyed.
