Some places in NY sound pretty overwhelmed but I’m not there so don’t know. I do know out here in Washington people are mostly doing a fairly good job sheltering in place.

A PULMO friend working ICU around here locally is stressed and very busy as is his ICU staff and our area has actually seen a big time leveling of cases the last week or so with the stay at home orders in place for a couple weeks. So if they’re very busy but not overwhelmed on just a few hundred new cases per day statewide, I can’t fathom what main hospitals in NY are like with 10k+ daily statewide. Hopefully they’re cresting very soon.
