Ditto, sort of ...

I've been suspicious that this whole thing is one of those times when humans go mentally berserk for the smallest of reasons. It's one of those bursting out of the inner child events -- a hysterical childish dream. And because humans, as a species, are fundamentally physically and emotionally weak in so many ways they absorb it like a child who is afraid of the dark.

I posted a table a couple times at different locations. It shows that it's not uncommon for tens of thousands of people in the U.S. die of a version of flu every year during the flu season.

Guess how many Americans were hospitalized during the 2017-2018 flu season. Did you hear anyone yelping about that year? I didn't. Must have been an ordinary year.

I'll tell you how many. The number comes from our very own WWW.CDC.GOV.
It's a pretty loose number: 620,000 to 1,400,000. They'll refine that in a year or two or three.

How many people are estimated to have died of the flu that season?
I'll tell you that too: estimated at 61,000. Subject to be further refined during the next couple years.

The typical flu season in the U.S. is done in 30 days.

How many people have confirmed COVID-19 in the U.S. this season?
Just got the number off my computer from the CDC: 164,603 total confirmed.
How does that compare to the 620,000 to 1,400,000 I mentioned above for the 2017-2018 flu season?
Yep, they need more time to refine those numbers.

How many people have died of COVID-19 in the US so far this season?
Just got that off my computer, too: 3,170.

To tell you the truth, I don't know what the hell is going on, but I live in Lake County, CA, and th number of COVID-19 ill here is a big fat ZERO.

I can't believe that so many people can be fooled, so I must be doing something wrong.
