Clarification: The post you replied to is for ABT's high-throughput central-lab COVID-19 test, which was approved by the FDA on 3/19/20. The FDA approval yesterday for ABT's rapid point-or-care COVID-19 test is an entirely separate action. Yesterday's point-of-care test is the more consequential approval for fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, IMO.
