That is exactly what I am picking up on my first reading.

1) ‘we didn’t understand the agreement we entered into and EMA took advantage of our ignorance.’

Vystar signed something they didn't understand and is now crying about it.

"Bad EMA took advantage of us by following the terms of a contract that we didn't understand!"
