I will wager that within a month multiple large regions of US or Europe will be requiring anyone in public to be wearing a mask.

May not take anywhere near a month. Germany health ministry just suggested everyone should wear masks, even makeshift ones, in public.

One of the interesting things about the pandemic is the speed with which things happen. Now we just need to slow doubling time enuf that politicians aren’t fooled by fact that what they see *now* is really a reflection of what happened 2 weeks ago.
