HCV Treatment Evolution 1989-2015



This graphic comes from the IDIX presentation at the UBS conference in 2006 and should not be taken too literally. Nevertheless, it’s a handy summary of where HCV treatment cocktails are likely headed during the next 5-10 years.

Two aspects of this graphic stand out: 1) Peg-interferon will hang around for another decade or so; and 2) Regimens including two or more direct antiviral agents will not be part of the SoC until 2011 because it will be difficult for companies to run clinical trials on combinations of unapproved drugs.
