Unlike the flu thankfully covid 19 spares the very young. In every other way as you say this is worse. However it is not nearly as contagious as measles where you can get infected long after a person has left a room from aerosolized virus. It also thankfully doesn’t cause cytokine storm in young adults like the Spanish flu which had some of the highest mortality in 18-25 year olds. So as bad as this is and going to get it could be a whole lot worse.
I’m still very nervous for my mom who is 80 and has cardiac issues as well as other older frail family members. I’m not totally risk free being in my 50s.
