First of all, I have come to learn from my time with this stock and what others have said about Mark that he isn't like other people who are in his position. The "norm" for Mark isn't there. I do believe the email, though like you, I would rather see a pr about this important development. Prs seem to be far from Mark at this point until after all 10ks are filed, so an email will have to suffice. Just my thought here.
