There is no guarantee that the lethality in all populations will be the same.

More proactive steps are being taken. Stanford shut down their classes last week. UC Berkeley just announced that will shut down classes starting tomorrow and running through March 29th, which includes all of spring break. What happens after that remains to be seen.
