FED cuts interest rate by 50 basis points in emergency meeting

This doesn't seem to be a situation where the FED cutting rates from already near historical lows will have any impact. Next you will see more tax cuts being floated, which also aren't going to as have any impact. If COVID-19 spreads widely, it is going to a take a lot of money to help people deal with it. The government is going to try and quarantine people for to weeks or more, people who don't get paid sick leave, and they will need financial support if the quarantines are going to hold.
