Good question, DaleC. It depends on who wins the 2020 election.

Trump continues to dig his own holes with his tweets and inane rally "speeches", but he gets grudging support because he is pushing back on some alarming policy positions of the Dems--ie. sanctuary cities, tuition bailout, "Santa Claus" proposals on new free programs etc. There will be something that will shake the Republicans (moderate) into pushing back with no fear of a Twitter Primary Challenge call from him. (Trump cannot be reelected after 2020, so new found political "courage" for some silent moderates.

If Bernie won, the Democrats would have to deal with a President pushing a VERY expensive agenda to fulfill the New Green Deal, Tuition Bailout, Medicare for All etc. That will be challenging for those moderate Democrats that recognize economic limitations.

In other words, the Dems would have to suffer for four years what the moderate Republicans have suffered with Trump.

JMO.

Have a great weekend.
