Viyya™ Technologies CEO Reports on Company Activities - Two Years of Hard Work Paying Off in Homeland Security Market

FAIRFIELD, NJ--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 5, 2008 -- VIYYA™ Technologies, Inc. (Other OTC:VYON.PK - News), the developer and marketer of the world's most advanced, web-based information management application, announced an update from John Bay on activities relating to sales and distribution of the VIYYA™ Information Portal (VIP), the industry's premier collaboration platform.

"VIYYA™ has given a lot of focus to the Broadband and Wireless data services marketplace over the past few months and we thought it was important to update everyone on the Homeland Security activities which are equally exciting," said Bay. "For the past two years we have been positioning ourselves as the platform of choice for data interoperability in gaining statewide recognition for our product. This highly competitive government sector consists of a long sales cycle and a strict budgeting process that has accepted VIYYA™ as a qualified participant. We expect the 2008 award process to include the VIYYA™ Interoperability Portal based on our efforts with state officials to date."

Viyya's entree into the Homeland Security market began in 2006 with its presence in two industry specific shows -- the Cyber Security Show in Albany, New York and the National Association of Fire Marshals (NASFM) annual conference in Washington DC. VIYYA™ displayed its VIP prototype technology and immediately attracted attention with its new, innovative approach to interoperability and notifications.

Over the next year, Viyya's worked with NASFM and various States on refining its original concepts and by the fall of 2007, the VIP became the recommended platform for interoperability by NASFM. VIP information was sent to all 50 states for insertion into the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Safety Interoperable Communication grant program (PSIC).

Also in 2007, VIYYA™ began building industry specific relationships with strong specialized DHS integrators such as L. Robert Kimball and Associates of Johnstown, PA along with other local firms capable of adding value to the VIP.

VIYYA™ is currently working with multiple state governments in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions to implement the VIP for Fire and EMS. The project scopes are being reviewed by respective state governments and final proposal pricing will be delivered this month so that planned implementations can begin in September of 2008. The projects will contain a combination of license and software integration fees as well as monthly recurring user revenues. Finally, VIYYA™ has established the means to procure state contracts for quick deployment of the VIP. "We anticipate generating revenue from these contracts during the second half of 2008 and to use this period to establish the VIP as the premier platform for Fire and EMS data interoperability. Our 2008 projections would be to provide nearly 200,000 first responders with the ability to exchange information and save lives in a manner that wasn't available prior to 9-11," said Bay. "Our long term goals are to implement the VIP with NASFM as a partner and establish a national network of fire communications."
