I thought we already established the rights travel with the shares therfore anything positive happens for anyone holding shares
This is another bit of common nonsense that could lead to highly overinflated expectations of future damages awards. It is much more nuanced than this.
Also keep in mind that Washington Federal, the only lawsuit to ask a court to review any events from 2008, only asks the court to award money damages to shareholders of record as of September 6 2008. All other cases, which only challenge the NWS, would have direct claims damages awards based on the share price as of August 17 2012: $0.30 per common share.
