Susie924, To repeat and add to some of DesertDrifter's just because i basically had it written.

Mark paid to make TA a free board with no ads. and with greater privileges (use of
the search facility, for one by memory) for free members. That means we get some dregs.

Mark's vision was to have TA not only a political board (you know he posted about most
everything, i try to keep that going though could never match his effort), and open to all.

After Mark died there were a few posts deleted by non-admin watchers (sorry, forgot what they are called) who were not aware
of Marks's deal. Most of those were put back on the board, so administration and we have managed pretty well to date.

We got one recently from one admin. which prompted the post you replied to. One important point which has been made, which i have referred to here before is that whether or not what our trolls post are “lies and misrepresentations” is irrelevant. It’s a political board and just like a stock specific board people can post what they believe and each reader can assess credibility for themselves. We can not moderate on the basis of veracity, alleged or otherwise.

Posters who disagree with others posters are free to debate them on the merits. It'd just that we have to do it with a reasonably civil tongue.

rooster and dropdeadfred are very long term posters here who were banned and allowed back by
F6, same by us since. It seems letting particularly those two back the last time was a mistake.

Bottom line: F6 didn't want this board to be simply an echo chamber as some conservative political boards have become. That
means some conflict. It's just that we have to keep it more civil. Heh, even more civil than even Mark, at times, allowed it to be.
