Goldman Sachs is a bank. They finance companies. They have a right to fund the companies they want to fund. The same applies to all other financial institutions.
But for you to extrapolate Goldman's actions to the entire financial sector in advance of any evidence of that eventuality is not rational.
More likely, Goldman will remove itself from the sector while others continue to serve it.
