So lets see. The new chips have lower power. The smaller processor means they can make a lot more of them. So, in principle, they can sell them cheaper if they can get the volume high enough and make more money. In addition, the RS690 chipset is due soon and looks to be the integrated chipset choice for Vista. No other integrated chipset will be able to handle Aero and all the Vista eye candy, and external GPU will be needed. AMD would be foolish if they didn't certify the two for interoperability and push it at the corporate market. Even without cutting the price, it is an attractive package, and if need be, there is room to cut prices and still make good money.
