Yes. GCAN bought/licensed a patent from Dr Tang that founded the company, then hired Dr Tang to expand upon it, which he is in the process of doing.

If one of the many patent applications Dr has made since becoming a GCAN employee has been denied, that is news to me. It might be fake news though.
