It sounded to me that Elite is ready to get out of the opioid business. In previous quarters I thought he felt it would be a business they would return to, this go around I felt it sounded like he was saying that it doesn't make good business sense. I'm good with that. Comments regarding this topic: - doctors are not prescribing the abuse deterrent options available - multiple large pharmaceutical companies have decided not to bring their approved abuse deterrent products to market - other good investment opportunities with much less risk and known viability in market - they are going to divest of some opioid ANDA to say under the 20 limit (my personal thought is good luck finding a buyer....)
In terms of evaluating a CEO, I think Nasarat moving a company from being a speciality opioid producer to a profitable generic and avoiding becoming part of the giant lawsuits deserves recognition.
