I agree, and perhaps CVSciences saw this a long time ago.

Chemotype III Hemp -
"CBD-rich cultivars containing low levels of THC are regarded as fiber-type or chemotype III cultivars." (2016)

"the third one, the so-called ‘fibre’, or ‘non-drug’ type (chemotype III), has mainly CBD, an amount of THC lower than 0.3%, and therefore a high CBD/THC ratio, sometimes not calculable due to undetectability of THC (de Meijer et al. 1992). "

Fedor and Futura, the 2 cultivars CVSI uses in their self-GRAS oil, are considered Chemotype III in Europe; and I see no reason why they should not be considered the same here by the USDA/FDA; they are already on several state lists of approved seed.

It has been posted several times by a *Richard* that CVSI makes its FSHE from the non-drug fiber-hemp, while a competitor *Richard* supports uses medical-hemp. He's asked why on earth would CVSI do this, when the alternative yielded higher CBD. Not putting down the other companies, but maybe CVSI knew that creating a high quality FSHE out of a fiber-hemp cultivar will prove to be the expedient way to go. I wonder how many other FSHE companies out there use the lowly-non-cost-effective fiber-hemp cultivars.
