A nasty fire in the LA basin. A lot of central californians are angry at having their power interrupted, due to the conditions that cause very dangerous fire potential from arcing power lines in heavy winds and tinder dry fuelbeds. LA basin is not PGE, so no shutdown, however, this fire reportedly started due to a garbage truck driver noticing smoke coming from his load, so he dumped his load. I hope he has good liability insurance. The freeways are closed and a major snarl is happening, but so far, only one fatality from the fire. #SaddleRidgeFire Photo from midnight last night. 1% humidity was recorded on site, with wind.
