tdeck,
Hope all is well with you and yours !
I agree with all you are saying about the debt. There has been too much tapping down by analyst that do not delve into anything that matters, nor any actual reporting on what is happening to bulk inventory that has not turned at a reasonable rate.
Just an example: My wife is a the best bargain shopper on two legs and her hobbby is finding them where ever they hide. There are 3 retailers that she frequents, every week, without fail. She loves to talk about what brands she finds whenever other ladies miss them or don't know where to look. The 3 stores are Ross, Marshall's and Burlington. As I have menioned to you, we live in the DFW area, so she has a lot of area she covers.
As of TODAY, she has NOT seen any Dressbarn product in any of these stores ... NONE. She has not seen ANY Lane Bryant, Ann Taylor or The LOFT product, in any Ross, Marshall's or Burlington stores. When or IF, Ascena gets into REAL trouble, these retailers are going to have to DUMP so much product that shoppers will not be able to miss this product ... it won't be drabbs and dribbles it will be MAJOR DUMPING, period.
SO, just to reiterate, you are 100% correct in my opinion ... if they were in as much trouble as analyst want people to believe, YOU can not hide the DUMP ... it's just NOT THERE.
As always ... JMHO,
Your BUDDY,
John
