Climate activist Greta Thunberg meets with a real president to discuss climate change
Remember when we had a rational person with intelligence heading our country’s executive branch of government? I know, it seems like eons ago. But while President Barack Obama may no longer be in office, most serious people around the world still consider him to be an American leader with integrity and lasting influence—lasting being the operative word here. Sixteen-year-old Greta Thunberg, an inspiring climate activist, will be participating in a national climate change awareness walkout on Friday, Sept. 20. On Tuesday, Thunberg was in our nation’s capital to lobby congressional leadership on the importance of real and effective climate change policy. Her message that no one is too small to make big change has been lauded by the environmentalist community. One of her first stops: President Barack Obama’s Obama Foundation.
