I've always thought pelicans are one of the coolest birds. Absolutely awkward... until they take flight when they become masters of the glide.. especially when in formations with other pelicans.

The screen cage is only over the pool. The lanai sits under the adjacent roof.

Here's a few more pics to complete the tour. I took them too early yesterday, so the light was far from perfect, but you'll get the idea.

This is looking out from the kitchen across the dinette through a large "Aquarium" like window. You can just see Bubba lounging on the far side of the pool:



Next is the lanai looking bac towards the window I was talking about. through the tall double doors is what would be a formal living room, but we made it the music room:



Finally this is looking back across the lanai in the other direction. Towards the bar (with a fridge full of Yuengling tucked in the corner (out of sight in this pic) and the master bedroom French doors on the right. Given the proximity to the pool and then the canal you can understand how we hear the fish flopping when the house is opened for the winter.
