I am to movies and some of the HBO/Starz/Showtime series as you are to college football, so I completely understand.

I generally don't go out much, so good TV at home is a luxury I allow myself.

To get around the rain problems I have my DVR record the movies and series during the night when rain isn't much of an issue. Plus when you subscribe to the movie channels you have access to their movie archive and series through On-demand, without any additional charge.

Over the last year, I recorded and watched all 7 seasons of The Sopranos, and Outlander. Great stuff on a rainy day or lazy evening.
