LAC Flavors

and Caribbean (LAC) exporters
with buyers/importers from around the world.
This initiative
aims to expand and strengthen
commercial exchange in the region,
contributing to the generation
of new business opportunities
between SMEs in the food sector
and international buyers,
through business meetings ("matchmaking").
Over the past 10 years,
LAC Flavors
generated more than $990 million USD
in future transactions
following more than 17,000 business meetings
held during these events.
This edition of LAC Flavors
is organized by the
Inter-American Development Bank,
through ConnectAmericas,
in collaboration with
ProColombia,
the Colombian government's export promotion agency,
Colombia Productiva,
Agro Exporta,
the Government of Valle del Cauca,
the Municipality of Santiago de Cali,
and the

On September 4 and 5,
Cali will have one of the most important
commercial meetings in the continent
for the agri-business sector.
This is LAC Flavors,
an event that aims to expand and strengthen
the commercial exchange between
SMEs in Latin America and the Caribbean,
and that this year had the registration
of 250 buyers from 40 countries,
from the United States to Australia,
thanks to the management of ProColombia.
There will be 2,500 business meetings
at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center in Cali
More than 400 exporting entrepreneurs
from 20 countries in Latin America
and the Caribbean
confirmed their participation.
“This is the first time
that LAC Flavors will be held in Cali
and it gives us the opportunity to show the world
the Colombian agro-export potential.
It should be noted that
more than 50% of the buyers
invited to this business roundtable
come from destinations
with which Colombia
has current commercial agreements,
so we encourage entrepreneurs
to take advantage of these tariff advantages,
”said Flavia Santoro,
president of ProColombia .
