I can remember a few years ago Trading (Foreign) owned Gold Mining stocks The (F) Taxation rate sometimes could be as High 4% to 8% on top of our long/short term Capital gains .. Who knows? what the rates could end up being , with these Euro countries socialized heath care issues.
