You got it. Background checks are near worthless. Of the last several instances of mass shootings, the shooters either passed a background check and purchased those weapons legally or they failed a background check and had a weapon anyway. So, what is the advantage of having background checks? The people that do these things pay no attention to what is legal and what is not.

And no, I'm not trolling for an argument, I'm just stating facts and my opinion. Criminals or those that are deranged have little regard for laws on the books. One more will make little difference, other than to make some feel like something is being done.
