Edit: Just saw your other post. If you do go, let me know what you find. I'm seriously thinking of e-mailing them for samples. Maybe my pergola should be built from Hemp lumber. Oh, but if it doesn't splinter like bamboo ply, I would love a counter top out of it.

My understanding is that CVSI specifically supports the fiber hemp variety to 1) be in full compliance with the spirit of the 2018FB and 2) to help farmers - they can sell the *waste* to the hemp lumber industry, as well as fabric and cotton. Did you know Hemp fiber is softer than cotton? and takes less resources.

Not meaning to be on an ecological platform here, but fiber hemp not only cleans the soil, the air but provides clothing, housing and paper with a much smaller CO2 footprint than other crops. I'm wondering why environmentalists aren't all over hemp at this time. There's more to this than CBD!
