No I didn’t mean that. Gross profit numbers don’t show you anything. All it shows is that furniture was sold.
We all know they sell furniture and have for 50 years. So what’s the point of tweeting gross sales numbers. There is no context like what are the Normal numbers on weeks where there isn’t a tax sale going on. What is the net profit number off of those gross sales. What’s the point of knowing the gross numbers. It’s not a true picture of their finances. The net numbers are what tell the real story because that’s what they actually cleared in the end after all the companies expenses. That’s a number you can use. What if the net number is zero or negative because of advertising and expenses. What if the net is very small. What if the net is abnormally large because of the sale and then drops to a low number normally. The gross numbers mean nothing without all the expenses that come off the top of those numbers. It’s just not an accurate picture on what they actually net in the end.
