How is a president and a Party that openly appeals to white supremacists, wannabe theocrats and free range racial, religious and gender bigots NOT playing identity politics?

How about the 'identities' of those who espouse right to life, opposition to reasonable gun control and climate change denial?

That's right, the separation between identity and interests is often blurred.
