He was using the electoral college map from the '08 election. So he was relying on the knowledge and memory, to optimistically perhaps, of people who recall that map.

FL, NC, VA, NC and IN in particular should have given it away. And he was explicit about 'giving FL and NC back'.

The overall valid points of the article remain undisturbed by the map. No adjustments necessary.
