The racial divide was stoked by the morons who pushed the birther conspiracy and who made it clear that they resented and feared Obama presidentin' while black.
Really, that's your best defense?
Most say race relations worsened under Obama, poll finds
A majority of Americans say relations between blacks and whites in the US have worsened under President Barack Obama, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.
The survey results come as an increasing number say discrimination against blacks is a very serious problem and concerns about bias in the criminal justice system remain widespread. Overall, 54% say relations between blacks and whites have gotten worse since Obama became president, including 57% of whites and 40% of blacks. That's up sharply compared with last June, when 43% said things had gotten worse shortly after a racially motivated shooting at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina.
President Barack Obama plunged his presidency into a charged racial debate and set off a firestorm with police officers nationwide by siding with a prominent black scholar who accuses police of racism.
Obama, the divider-in-chief: Intemperate remarks stoke racial divide
Obama has fueled the racial divide he was so well positioned to extinguish. He has stoked the fires of misplaced anger among African Americans by speaking out prematurely in every case involving race – and has been proven wrong. When he said “The Cambridge Police acted stupidly” in the Professor Gates case, it turned out he was wrong. Ditto for the cases of Trayvon Martin and Ferguson, Missouri’s Michael Brown. Now the courts in Baltimore have vindicated those police officers so far tried in the Freddy Gray case.
