The timing of the intense interest in cannabidiol taking off in 2018 makes sense; last year was when hemp saw a national decriminalization that helped get CBD production off the ground.

Wolfman Jack was the stage name of the hugely popular disc jockey in the 1960s and 1970s who came to prominence in the United States on Mexican radio stations including a stint with XERB-AM, which broadcast into North America and beyond with 250,000 watts; five times more powerful than any U.S. radio stations.

The hip, sexually suggestive persona allowed Wolfman Jack to ignore the prevailing racially segregated formats of American radio. He played whatever music he liked regardless of the performer's ethnicity. He frequently punctuated his broadcasts with howls which, along with his gravelly voice, made him instantly recognizable. Only in 1973 by appearing in the George Lucas film American Graffiti did Wolfman Jack allow the public to see him. He also furnished his voice in the 1974 Guess Who's tribute “Clap for the Wolfman.”
