Actually, benchmarks are not that hard...
There are five states for benchmarks:
(1) AMD wins pretty much all the benchmarks
(2) AMD wins more benchmarks than Intel
(3) Both win about the same number, but the ones AMD wins are more important
(4) Intel wins more benchmarks than AMD, but the websites are biased in the benchmarks they pick, and the ones AMD wins are more important
(5) AMD wins one benchmark if you stand on your head and squint real hard. This one benchmark is the only one that is really important anyway.

Intel has moved from spot #1 to spot #5 in the past year.
