Lets start with the BIG ONES....

Bush lied (the WMD argument). Do you know how many morons believe this crap? What evidence is there to support this utterly contemptible falsehood? A lie requires KNOWING KNOWLEDGE of something to be other than from that which one proclaims. There never has been ANY evidence to this statement yet I hear this jingoistic-slogan-nonsense (which undermines the decency of our leaders on the most epistemologically base level).

We went into Iraq for oil. Another falsehood which is insidious and patently uncorroborated. The reason we went into Iraq was wholly noble,to depose Saddam who made every objective appearance that he possessed WMD's, or even if you choose to believe, to gain a sphere of influence in the region [to promote democracy and create a bulwark against radical Islam] that seems a pretty good reason in-and-of itself.

The fact is,...we are at WAR (I remember 911),..and it would be nice if people had a little back-bone and supported our Presidents decisions. I recognize the war is a mess,...but that just means we need to focus intelligently on how to win it,...not on gaming the situation for political affecr. The fact is....if we leave Iraq,.......we will be a less safe nation - and anyone who doesnt see that is imho,...more concerned with petty politics than the safety of the American people. Our president chose to make Iraq a front on the war on terror..and as the Commabder in Chief we should respect (heck, it seemed reasonable to 75% of Americans at one time] his decisions

Would the generations of the past have said to FDR he shouldnt go after Rommel in Egypt, or that Normandy wasnt the best entry front against Nazism) because everyone likes to be an arm-chair general in todays world..where everyone thinks there opinion is just as meaningful and right as everyone elses [NOT TRUE!!!]...but let me ask those that criticize the decisions.....how many wars have YOU fought? This could very well be 100 year conflict,..I knew that as soon as the towers went down....we all need to have more patience than we have been programmed in the modern world to accept.
