I think that when you are before a congressional committee, you shouldn't be able to decide what is of interest to the committee. I know that voluntary witnesses can negotiate groundrules, but his work was a product of the US Government, for chrissakes. Not sure what plan B would have been if Mueller had refused to testify at all if he couldn't make up the rules. Subpoena? My vote would have been to let muellers second in command give testimony if he was not up to it. Yeah, he didn't want to be there and all that, but tough shit. Once he signed on, he owed us all to share the fruits of his labors.
