I used harsh language in describing management yesterday. I did not want to offend anyone on the personal level, and I'm not trying to call somebody on insider trading or selective release of information.

My main critique was and is two fold: not enough management at the top . . . the top folks wearing too many hats and the issue of in-licensing. Here, I only wish not to hear about it for they, in theory, could be that one spectacular molecule that could transform Cortex like Provigil did for Cephalon. My wish was/is for the high impacts to be viewed as that iron ore to be mined and manipulated. I'm not as concerned as what phase the trial the compound is in as opposed to the quality of the compound. But, if management pulls the rabbit out of the hat on the in-licensing, then it might be worth it. But, the public mentioning of this dedication to the concept, highlighting the worth and work of in-licensing raises troubling doubts about ampakines even if this is not the strategic intent of management. I think it does for others as well, creating instability at the wrong time.

Sometimes though things work out for the best in the end. I think it will here. For a number of reasons, some which I have speculated about and mused out loud, some of which I have kept mumb on, I hope and believe this in-licensing will be delayed.

I did not mean to get personal against management because I like and respect them; we just need more of them IMHO.
