Well, in between your time spent darning socks, you might recall that single use plastic bags are illegal in california. You cons need to catch up, don't point your finger at us on the left coast on that account. Bottled water has been around forever. Normal people call them canteens. Most people who carry water while exercising or hiking use reusable water containers where I live. But that is because our infrastructure is good, so the water quality is good: water in the mountains where I live tastes better than the bottled stuff anyway.

I remember when the fad of plastic disposable bottles for water swept through my area in the 90's, the kids would pour out the water and fill it with water from the drinking fountain while playing basketball, because bottled water was in fashion, but things like "arrowhead spring water" tasted oily to palates that had never had it before. Republicans blocking investments in infrastructure have left tap water horrible in many municipalities.

As to giving used stuff to charity... you republican tax idiots are reducing the charitable deduction eligibility for such donations, do not do a false equivalency that democrats push for such stupidity.

I can give you 10 examples of how the republican mindset gets translated into negative environmental consequences; for you to think that "both sides" pursue such stupidity is just ignorance.
