DEMOCRATS NEED TO RETHINK MUELLER'S HEARING
The special counsel’s testimony is a chance to dramatize Donald Trump’s misconduct. Grandstanding won’t help anyone.

The point of this week’s House hearings with special guest star Robert Mueller is very simple: to illustrate what the special counsel’s investigation found for all those who haven’t really been following along.

That’s a fairly limited agenda. Democrats can’t expect to trick Mueller into saying anything that wasn’t already in his report on the probe, which was published in April. Nor can they realistically expect to unearth new details that will give them useful leads in their own investigations. Mueller isn’t going to provide any of that.
